Our Mission

Our goal is to build affordable custom equipment that you can actually afford to use.  "Custom pedalboards & road cases built by musicians for musicians."

Lead Times

Please note that it takes time to build a quality road case.  The average turn around time is 2 weeks for pedalboards but the big cases take time.  The large cases will require between 3 - 5 weeks to complete and ship. Also keep in mind that the build clock does not start when you place your order.  It may be up to 2 weeks before we even get started on your case.   We have been averaging 10 orders per week so please be patient.  If you need your road case in a hurry please let someone know ASAP so special arrangements can be made ahead of time.  So if your waiting on an order please be patient and we'll get it there ASAP - "We will ship no road case before it's time"

Shipping/Handling

Kmc Music & Sound LLC is a global operation.  Your paying the shipping and duties so we'll send it to you where ever you may be.  Just remember international shipping charges can be more expensive than the item you're having built actually costs!  We don't charge for handling (even though we make our own boxes and these things get heavy).  Domestic shipping is through UPS Ground, or FedEx Ground,  International shipping is normally through US Parcel Post and may have to be send US Airmail.  Email for shipping costs.

Shipping Damages

FedEx and UPS have been beating the hell out of these big road cases.  If you're case arrives damaged please let me know ASAP.  We're willing to work with you in the event something happens but we need to know ASAP.  If we don't hear from you we will assume the case arrived safely.

Endorsements

I am amazed at the number of bands or people emailing with endorsement questions.  Over the past few years I have taken it upon myself to help out in the hopes that it would help out the bands and the company.  However all it really seems to do is cost me the time, and cost of some cases.  I think it's great that there are so many bands out there trying to get ahead but unfortunately we're not able to offer any endorsements at this time.  We can however offer you a great price for custom gear.

Why Build Pedalboards & Road Cases?

Well to be quite honest it was totally by accident.  Years ago I decided that it was time to buy a pedalboard.  What an awesome thing it would be to be able to put all my stuff in a pedalboard and not have to deal with all the twisted cables and stuff associated with carrying my effects in a grocery bag.   Plus it would look really cool on stage!

Being a guitar freak I quickly headed down to the local guitar emporium with a great sense of excitement to see what I could find.  What I found were the usual clueless sales people who shouldn't be allowed near a musical instrument with out some form of shock collar.  They had no idea what a pedalboard was but they'd love to sell me the latest electronic something with a lot of knobs and buttons and built in effects so I wouldn't need a pedalboard.  I kindly explained to them they needed to leave me alone and went home to build a pedalboard.

Really that's it ~ swear to god that's how it all started.  I went  home and within a few hours I had an idea.  It was simple, heavy as hell, and butt ugly but it worked.  It was a pedalboard kind of road case thing  that  I drug around for about a year as a prototype.  It was a little too huge & heavy so I downsized and started making them for anyone that wanted one.  Custom amp cases, guitar cases, and other mystery cases soon followed.  Who'd have thunk it?
