Welcome to Kmc Music & Sound's photo page. Below you will find some pix of the different colors sizes and styles of effects pedalboards, road cases, & guitar cases we've built. Simply double click the photo for a larger image. Some of these colors are very hard to find and may no longer be available. If your looking for a specific color let us know and we'll try to get it.
I'd like to thank everyone for all the support we've had over the years - 2008 has been a really tough year for everyone ~ that's why we're doing what we can to help out. If you need a case and don't have the cash hit us up with some trade offers. We like stuff and if we can use it we'll work out something.
Check this out ~ this started out as an all creme yellow head and cab case for an Engle and Bogner Shiva cab. Well as fate would have it I came up about 12" short on the roll so we had to re-group. Tsui was cool enough to let us play with some colors. It kind of looks like an Egnater set up but it's way cool.
Here's a nice looking pedalboard ~ it's actually a dark blue but looks black so I had to take a few outside pix to show the color.
Here's a monster head and 8 space case with a cool Penn locking drawer. This one also has the Fender pop-out casters.
We build a lot of head and rack cases but not too many that are decked out in Tolex. It's a great looking material but if it were ideal for giggin' your amp wouldn't need a case. I hope this one stays a nice as when it left the shop because it was a sweet case. We toss a set of Fender style pop-out casters on it so it can be stacked (black cases with black interiors just don't show much detail in pictures)
Here's a pedalboard I built for my buddy Desi Serna at (www.Guitar-Music-Theory.com)
He's an awesome guitar teacher and has lots of great study stuff ~ look him up and tell Mike from Kmc Music sent 'ya.
Here's a few pix of the MK-1000-D Live in 4x12 road case ~ I need to build a few of these for myself!
Ok A few of you have been waiting on some orders and here's the reason ~ I had to build some guitar cases for the band Candlebox quick fast and in a hurry. Normally it's first in first out but well what can I say. Anyway I came up with a new Guitar Vault design that works and looks great. These pix are from start to finish on the new MK-1500-BC.
Here's a couple bright MK-1030's - One is headed to CA the other TN
These big guitar cases are way cool. This one is set up for a couple acoustics as well as the electrics. It was almost too big to fit on my build table with the casters (not shown)
Here's a sweet looking MK-1000G - Live in road case for a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade head which happens to be the same size as my '73 Plexi.
Next up we have a very cool MK-1030-C ~ It's on it was (finally on it's way to GA)
Here we have a new style case. This big dude is made to hold both a head, 2x12 extension cabinet, and rack. These big cases are very cool but they do take a while to complete. It's shown with out the castor plate because it would hit my shop lights.
Here's a handy case to have for your vintage head ~ this MK-1000F was built for a Blackface Fender Vibrolux. You would have to really try hard to hurt that head once it's tucked away in that case.
We still build pedalboards too ~ some are big and some are small. Here's a couple. One standard black and the other some way cool Fender Tweed.
Here's the last MK-1500 for 2007 ~ it's a real looker and set up for (4) guitars. The black and blue are really subtle and cool.
Here's a pix of my current rig ~ it sounds amazing and is cool as hell. It consists of my pedalboard with a vox wah, TS-9, OCD, MT/2, Boss flanger, H2O, Boss tuner, Sure wireless and voodoo labs pedal power. 92 LP Custom, LP Flame top, 56 RI Gold Top, and 98 Gretsch 6120 back to my black faced '74 Fender Twin reverb.
Dan R. sent these loaded pix of his black & yellow MK-1030 - it's really something to see!
You've got to protect those combo amps if you want to play 'em out and nothing works better than a nice road case to keep your special amp looking great.
Ok I know this is just wrong ~ Marshall's don't have tweed but this just looks too cool. What we have here is a MK-1000-G live in head case. We covered the case with some Fender Tweed and then for good measure gave it a couple coats of clear lacquer.
Did you know that Fender made a Blackface twin just for Hippies? You never know what you'll see these days! Nothing says peace, love and the munchies like a novelty burlap Red Haired Sinsemilla bag for a grill cloth. I bet you've never seen one like this before ~ very few people are hip to the Blackface Fender Twin Reeffer but it's a killer amp! Want one for your amp? Just let me know.
This one looks like it could have been on stage with Skynyrd ~ it's my buddy Al's "Rebel Twin" ~ it's a rebuilt killer '75 Silverface Twin Reverb that he's restoring to better than new. We're looking into building a few custom grill cloths so if you want something different let us know.
This little number has been in the works for a while ~ it's a prototype Mk-430 series pedalboard/roadcase. It's very similar in size to the TL-370's but it's a pull out board. Lots of people like their gear on the floor and this is about as close as it gets. The aluminum is only for looks but it looks really good. The pedalboard surface is covered in roll on truck bed liner so it's strong as hell (plus it's 5/8" thick). I'm sure you'll see a lot more of these very soon.
Here's one of the coolest MK-1030 series cases we've built yet. I'm not sure if it looks more like a bumble bee or Pittsburg Steelers but either way it's cool. You'll notice this case has an extra shelf in the top of the rack case. This is for a pedalboard ~ very cool way to haul all your gear in one or two quick trips.
Purple is even cooler when it's in an amp case covered in black tolex ~ very cool!
Purple is a cool color ~ especially when in an amp case!
Ok Mike here it is maybe the most beautiful set up in the word I love the case and so does everybody else here are the pics. - Scott
Here's a road case for an existing pedalboard ~ looks pretty flashy in Tolex.
This is one big pedalboard & Road Case ~ it's got cool little feature that I cobbled together walking down the hallowed halls of Home Depot's plumbing section. It's a simple little creation for adding a mic stand to just about any pedalboard. It's pretty simple ~ just a couple pieces and your set. (I should clean up the shop before I take pictures!)
Here's another 5150 make-over. I recovered one similar to this a few years back which looked killer. This is only the 2nd one in the world with this type of python vinyl and I used my last couple yards so that's all folks for the light python vinyl.
This little beauty is headed to New Zealand. It's a classy burgundy vinyl (even though the pix look magenta). This is the first pedalboard we've built with the pedalboard surface covered with bed liner.
It's been a big case month here in the shop ~ here's a setup for two heads plus an additional rack case.
These big ones might take a while but when they're done they look really cool! I added a couple before pix so you can see what kind of bracing goes into these cases.
This case could be used by the bomb squad for bomb disposal. It looks like paint but it's actually covered in truck bed liner similar to Herculiner. It should keep a head nice and safe.
This sweet looking pedalboard made it's way thru Canadian customs (took a while!) all the way North to British Columbia.
Here's another big one. This case was built to carry one of those bad ass 8x10 Ampeg bass cabs.
We've been building a lot of these head/rack MK-1030 combos lately ~ this one looks way cool with the nice black and green color combo. This one is built for the long Mesa heads so I couldn't stuff my big Marshall in it for some pix.
I think this is my favorite MK-1030c so far ~ it's got all the things I like in a hot rod road case ~ black outside, with lipstick red inside and a really cool storage drawer. As you can see this one is a real eye catcher and as usual with our road cases built like a tank.
Here we have a one of a kind drum case. It's big and awkward but it can hold an entire drum kit with stands. As you can see it's way to big to ship so if you want one you're going to be paying big time on shipping unless you pick it up here in Michigan.
Here we have the finished version of the MK-1030C-2space from below. As you can see it's really flashy and functional. Looks like something from the set of the Munsters.
Now this looks pretty sweet ~ Genuine Fender Tweed with black hardware and a black vinyl pedalboard surface. I might just have to trade in my blue snake skin for something a little more tweedlike.
Here we have one big amp/rack case ~ it's huge! It's built for a Huges & Kettner Triamp and a lot of rack gear. It's an 18 space rolling monster.
Well here's one built and donated for a good cause ~ this board was donated to Mark Stoddard (http://www.lavacable.com ) for a Red Cross relief raffle he sponsored that contributed $5,325.00 to help those that need it. Great job Mark!
Guitar cases ~ you don't need no stinkin' guitar cases. You just need one big one to hold all your guitars. This one comes with all the bells and whistles ~ from big blue locking castors to padded blue velour interior.
Well it's not quite maze and blue (Michigan) but it's pretty close. Actually this is the last of some really cool blue lizard I've been saving for a couple years. Not to worry ~ I've found some more ........... if you want a blue lizard board just let us know.
Did anyone say tweed? Well tweed looks awesome on any pedalboard ~ plus it's strong and wont rip or tear.
Here's a nice little TL-370 with some style ~ covered in a brown faux leather.
It ain't easy being green ~ but it is cool! Check out this beautiful MK-1030c ~ complete with a 2 space rack for a tuner and/or stuff. Guaranteed to keep what ever you want to keep safe and easy to set up. I'm going to have to make one of these for myself ~ probably a red one though.
This project was a little different. A bass player friend of mine wasn't getting the low thumping sounds he wanted from his bass rig so he wanted us to build a set of 18" bass cabs. The only problem was he needed them in a hurry. We built these cabs from scratch and loaded them with 500 watt Dayton's in less than a week. Dual 18's can make almost any rafter shake!
Here's a set of cases for some existing pedalboards ~ I added some wood stain to spiff 'em up just a little.
This elegant looking TL-370 is making the trip across the pond to Germany ~ Nice board Nicolay
Evolution of a guitar case ~ here are some pix of our newest MK-1500-2a - The changes to this case are going to become standard additions in the future. Notice the deep foam protecting the guitars and the full dividers - all nicely trimmed with rubber trim.
MK-1500a guitar cabinet ~ This one was custom built to hold 6 guitars. Kind of a neat way to haul your guitars around.
How do you make a nice combo amp cool? Well you re-cover it in snake skin of course. I bet Eddy would like one like this!
MK-830C ~ Hunter green vinyl. This board has dual power strips wired into the removable riser. Kind of a cool option.
MK-830C ~ Bright orange vinyl. This one is a real attention getter ~ the UPS monkeys gave it a good wack on the way to its new home. The best they could to was put a small rip in the vinyl.
MK-830C ~ Hunter Green vinyl. This little beauty was built for show and go. Notice the black vinyl on the pedalboard and riser. It seems to be the best way to go for holding down those tricky pedals.
MK-1000a amp case ~ Black carpet. This one was specifically built for the Rivera Sedona pictured.
MK-211-1 ~ These are a special model made for my buds in the band Mindspeed ~ the flashy one is really over the top ~ check out that snake skin print! The big one on the bottom is huge ~ takes two people just to drag it around and it's loaded to the gills with goodies.
TL-370C ~ Awesome looking orange vinyl (almost looks like hand tooled leather) ~ this particular one was a trade deal ~ got something to trade let us know!
Mk-630C ~ Sweet Looking pedalboard with midnight blue vinyl exterior and a black vinyl surface on the removable pedalboard.
CC-100 Hard Shell Cymbal Case ~ Standard Black Carpet
Here's a standard TL-370 with a pedestal style board ~ simple and effective.
A pair of MK-1000a amp cases ~ Black carpet. These little beauties were custom built to hold a pair of Tech 21 Trademark 60's.
TL-370 C ~ Dark Brown Python ~ here's a little beauty! Notice the black hardware and the pedalboard is covered in vinyl instead of carpet.
MK-830 C ~ Pumpkin Orange ~ I love this orange vinyl ~ Kind of has that hand tooled leather look going on.
TL-370 C ~ Dark Brown Python ~ too cool! Notice the pedalboard is covered in vinyl instead of carpet.
MK-830 a ~ Charcoal Gray ~ The charcoal gray is a great color because it never looks dirty ~ It also looks killer with black hardware.
MK-830 c ~ Hunter Green padded vinyl
MK-630 c ~ Python Vinyl ~ very cool board!
MK-530 a ~ Black Carpet
MK-1500a guitar cabinet ~ Black Gator Vinyl & yellow This compact case holds "5" guitars or basses in a hard road case that also doubles as an on-stage guitar stand when the top and front panels are removed.

Our latest creation the MK-1500a guitar cabinet ~This compact case holds "5" guitars in a hard road case that also doubles as an on-stage guitar stand when the top and front panels are removed.

So you've got a Marshall head and some rack gear. What can you do with that? Well here you go! Put them all in a road case and make life a little easier! This is a road case for a Marshall head complete with 10 space rack built in. Kind of a cool idea!
