CC-100 Style Hard Shell Cymbal Road Case

The CC-100 is a new venture for Kmc Music.  It started innocently enough, my son is a drummer and wanted something stronger than a bag to carry his expensive cymbals, so I built him a road case (shown above).  I soon realized that this thing works really great!  It's made similar to the MK-630/530 road case but it's square (23" or 24" inside depending on your largest cymbal) and is lined top and bottom with gray acoustic foam.  In the center you will notice a 3 1/2" carriage bolt partially covered with latex hose.  This is used to lock the cymbals in place during transit.  It's a simple and sturdy design that works great and with no more bags with insecure handles to worry with.  Plus when you load up your gear it can be stacked with the other gear ~ something that you can't do with a cymbal bag unless you like cracked and dented cymbals.  The case is constructed of 1/4" plywood top & bottom fully braced with 1 x 2's and the sides are made from 1/2" plywood.  It comes standard with the following:   

The CC-100's standard features include:

•  (2) butterfly latches
•  (2) take-apart hinges
•  (4) plastic corners
•  (1) spring loaded surface mounted handle
•  (4) rubber feet. 
•  (1) layer of foam in the pan and in the lid
•  3 1/2" lg. x 1/4" carriage bolt assembly including wing nut, washer and latex tubing.

CC-100 is covered with your choice of black or charcoal gray speaker carpet standard. For an additional charge you can get a colorful custom look with Fender style black tolex or tweed or a vinyl covering (red-burgundy, teal, blue, black, yellow, or green.  All custom colors are subject to availability).  All hardware is zinc plated unless noted otherwise.
